Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital

In 1998, to provide high-level medical services for the residents of the South Kaohsiung area, Kaohsiung Medical University extended its services and formed an excellent medical team from the affiliated Chung-Ho Hospital to take over Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital, which became the first public and private municipal hospital operated by the medical center. Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital has 22 clinical departments and 495 beds, providing a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient medical services, and has introduced various advanced equipment to improve medical quality.
In 2019, the team of Long Zhenyu(Dean) introduced the focused ultrasound tumor treatment system developed by Chongqing Haifu Medical Technology Co., Ltd. to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the hospital, and established the HIFU Treatment Center to apply this non-invasive treatment technology that entails no surgery and no bleeding to the treatment of uterine fibroids, providing a new choice of "sparing the uterus" treatment for female patients with fibroids.
