Founded in 1976, Chung Shan Hospital is a local general hospital equipped with 210 beds. It has opened 31 specialist out-patient clinics with 200 physicians. In March 2021, Chung Shan Hospital introduced the focused ultrasound tumor treatment system developed by Chongqing Haifu Medical Technology Co., Ltd. to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and established the HIFU Center. With the joint efforts of the physician team led by Director Zhong Guoteng, the center used the HIFU technology to treat uterus myoma and adenomyosis, bringing this non-invasive treatment that does not require anesthesia or surgery, does not bleed, and preserves the reproductive function of the uterus to female patients. Up to now, the hospital has completed 75 cases of surgical treatment.
