On July 29, 2022, H.E. Ann Derwin, the Irish Ambassador to China, and her delegation visited Haifu Medical.

Jiang Gang, General Manager of Haifu Medical, introduced in detail to Ambassador Andewin and her delegation the industrialization results achieved by Haifu Medical in its 23 years of original innovation and the international application of high intensity focused ultrasound( HIFU), as well as the company’s advocacy of “treatment- minimize harm to patients”. When Ambassador Ann Derwin saw the international users of HIFU displayed in the exhibition hall of Haifu Medical, she said with expectation that she hoped Ireland could join the application of high intensity focused ultrasoundsoon.

Afterwards, under the explanation of Xing Ruoxi, the international academic head of Haifu Medical, Ambassador Ann Derwin and her team observed the simulation demonstration of high intensityfocused ultrasound treatment. The ambassador, who has a background in medical practice, was very excited to learn about the original contributions made by the Haifu team in the field of high intensityfocused ultrasound ablation therapy and its global promotion and application, and asked, “Why is such an advanced technology not yet available to tumor patients in Ireland?” When she saw that the Haifu® Minimally Invasive Treatment Center in South Africa could ablate tumors larger than 20 cm in diameter, Ambassador Ann Derwin was even more shocked and appreciated the conformability, accuracy and effectiveness of the treatment with the Haifu® device.

Ambassador Ann Derwin said that medicine knows no borders and that the miraculous HIFU® device should benefit patients all over the world. It is worth mentioning that Ireland advocates a multiple childbearing policy, and the HIFU® device plays a positive role in the preservation of female fertility. She earnestly hopes that both China and Ireland will strengthen their medical ties and exchanges, and introduce the advanced equipment of Chongqing Haifu Medical into the Irish medical system as soon as possible, so as to enhance the happiness of Irish people, especially female patients.
