On January 26, 2022, Chongqing Haifu (Water and Soil Industrial Park) held the delivery ceremony of HIFU® (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) exported to Russia. This is the first time that high-end large-scale medical equipment of focused ultrasound ablation surgery, which is original in China and has full intellectual property rights, has entered the private medical market in Russia. It is reported that this is the first time that Chongqing Haifu has started using the “Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe” international railway intermodal transport channel, and finally arrived at the destination-Novosibirsk, Russia, through the border port of Alxa Pass and Kazakhstan.

Located in the middle of Russia and connecting the east and west, Novosibirsk is the third largest city in Russia after Moscow and St. Petersburg. The Puledo chain polyclinic in Novosibirsk, where HIFU® is about to settle, is located in the most important economic, technological and cultural center in Novosibirsk, and has a good  effect on the entire central and north-south area of Russia. As is known to all, Russia’s ultrasonic medicine and quantum medicine reach the world’s advanced level. The introduction of HIFU® is an alliance between strong powers, achieving a breakthrough of HIFU® in the private medical market of Russia and even the entire CIS.

Focused ultrasound ablation surgery (FUAS) is a kind of ultrasound non-invasive treatment, which uses the focus and penetrability of ultrasound to focus the low intensity ultrasound in vitro on the lesions in the patient’s body, and generates high temperature at the focus instantly, causing irreversible coagulation necrosis of the lesion tissues, while the normal tissue is not damaged, so as to achieve “non-invasive treatment” without surgery, bleeding, but retaining the tissues, organs and their structural functions. At present, focused ultrasound has entered the seven key development fields stated in the “14th Five-Year Plan” for the Development of Medical Equipment Industry, and since the first HIFU® was exported to Oxford University in the UK in 2002, it has treated more than 190,000 cases of benign and malignant tumors in 29 countries and regions.
