On October 24, 2022(US Eastern Standard Time, EST), the United States Focused Ultrasound Foundation awarded the “Clinical Application Award” for focused ultrasound to Professor Wang Zhibiao, director of the State Key Laboratory of Ultrasound Medical Engineering and the National Engineering Research Center for Ultrasound Medicine, in recognition of his pioneering contributions in the field of focused ultrasound therapy over the past 34 years, including basic research, research and development of large-scale medical equipment, clinical application and formulation of industrial standards. 

Founded in 2006, the United States Focused Ultrasound Foundation is one of the most influential NGOs in the field of focused ultrasound. It has been working around the concept, clinical application and industrial standard formulation of ultrasound therapy worldwide, and is committed to promoting the application and development of focused ultrasound technology, so that more patients can enjoy this micro-noninvasive treatment as soon as possible. Professor Wang Zhibiao said in his acceptance speech, “The research on focused ultrasound technology was originally based on the mission of obstetricians and gynecologists to care for women who had undergone hysterectomy. The mission of our hands, aims for a perfect uterus.Even if her uterus is ill, we will try to enable its structure and function to recover. Focused ultrasound technology is a micro-invasive technology that can protect the uterus and organs. We can do no harm or resectionthe traditional ones brought in the past.”
